Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our team. As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate bindery equipment such as cutting machines, folding machines, stitching machines, and collators
- Monitor machine operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to keep it in optimal condition
- Follow job specifications to ensure accurate and precise finishing of printed materials
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Bindery Operator or similar role
- Proficient in operating bindery equipment such as cutting machines, folding machines, stitching machines, and collators
- Knowledge of screen printing, color management, and print advertising techniques
- Familiarity with layout design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification is a plus
- CNC machining experience is a plus
